The sea is why the corso barely moves in August. You do not need ten lidos: you need to know which sand you want, and whether tomorrow is a boat or the mountains. BestCefalù takes no cut of the ticket and does not hold seats. Open a listing, WhatsApp, go.
The beaches, in practice
The town beach is the postcard: free sand, cathedral behind you, packed at sunset. East toward Kalura: clearer water, rocks, seafront hotels. West: Ponente and then longer or rockier stretches (Salinelle, Caldura). In August the free sand fills by midday — if you want a lounger, message the hotel in the morning.
Full Italian guide: spiagge a Cefalù. On the site today: Hotel Kalura, Le Calette, Victoria Palace, Sea Palace.
Boat tours along the coast
From the harbour: two or three hours, caves, a swim, a drink, sunset. Limited places — write the day before. This is not a GetYourGuide catalogue: you talk to the boat. Afterward, fish at the quay or a glass — Locanda del Marinaio, Le Petit Tonneau.
Hours and trip types: tours in Cefalù. Kayak, fishing, cooking: experiences.
Day trips and open air
The Madonie do not fit in three hours: Castelbuono, trails, mountain air. Keep them for a second day if you sleep in town. A walking tour of the Duomo and wash-houses if the sea is rough. Scooter or car if you want Kalura and Ponente without the bus: rentals.
One day from Palermo: town beach + cathedral, skip the Madonie. Two nights: one boat and one Rocca, or one boat and the hills. Not both in the same afternoon.
