Cefalù from the coast: where to stay and how to get around

Stay and services

Sleeping and moving in Cefalù

Seafront hotels, a boutique on the old harbour, the train from Palermo, leaving the car out of the centre. You ask for the room on WhatsApp.

Cefalù is small: sleep in the centre and you walk everywhere. Sleep on the lungomare and you have the beach under you and fifteen minutes to the Duomo. BestCefalù does not book rooms and takes no cut of the night. The cards below are shop windows: photos, prices, chat.

Where to stay

Five stars on a private bay: Le Calette. Lungomare and lido: Victoria Palace, Cefalù Sea Palace. Cliff restaurant: Hotel Kalura. Boutique on the old harbour: Convento di Cefalù. A large property with a private beach at Santa Lucia: Le Sabbie d’Oro.

In summer, two or three nights change the trip (Rocca one day, a boat the next). A single day from Palermo: you can skip the hotel, but you lose sunset without racing the train. List: where to stay.

How to arrive

Train from Palermo Centrale: about an hour, station five minutes on foot from the corso. By car: A20, Cefalù exits. In August the centre is pedestrian at peak hours: leave the car toward Ponente or Kalura, paid parking. May, June and September are calmer; July and August are the peak.

Getting around town

On foot. Flip-flops on the beach, closed shoes for the Rocca. Few taxis; a scooter or car if you want Kalura, Santa Lucia or the Madonie without bus times. When rentals join the site they appear under rentals. A bike on the corso in August is an obstacle, not a shortcut.

Slow time

Spa and slow: wellness (it fills as hotels and centres sign up). The rest of Cefalù slow is the sea and a glass, not rushing. Site contacts: contact. A business that wants a listing: free shop window.
